Plain Township Rotary recently had a clambake catered by Olen's....WOW! were we impressed. From the gumbo to the clams to the chicken and sides...everything was delicious! And since Olen's takes care of everything from set-up to clean-up, it couldn't be easier.

I met Chef Wayne in Ohio at a party he was catering. We were served the best BBQ known to man. And trust me, I have eaten BBQ all over this wonderful country. My flight from Atlanta, my home town, was well worth it. Not just for the party but the Chef Wayne's BBQ. My accolades your a great Chef.

Have you ever tasted REAL "smoked" chicken - succulent, tender and juicy? Ribs that melt in your mouth - or pulled pork, piled high on a bun with spices and sauce blended to perfection?
The food stole the show at the two affairs I attended catered by Olen's BBQ.
My sons will be graduating soon, and Olen's is at the top of my "to call" list. I know the food will be great - and almost as good is the fact that Chef Wayne will take care of everything - leaving me free to enjoy my guests.
Any plans on opening a restaurant in the near future Chef? I'd wait in line ANYTIME for another taste of my favorite chicken on the planet!

We had Olen’s Southern Catering cater our son’s graduation party last spring for around 200 guests. They did a fabulous job! Wayne and his brother Bill are very professional. Everything they made was awesome from the pulled pork, to the fresh corn on the cob cooked in his secret garlic butter recipe. Nobody had to wait for anything as they kept the food coming. The pulled pork is to die for !!!!! A true Southern classic as mentioned by some of our southern quest.
They made our job so easy and worry free that we had all the time in the world to visit with our friends and enjoy our son’s party an all the other things that go into hosting a party.
I highly recommend Olen’s Southern Catering, you won’t regret it!

Over the last couple of years I have had the best barbecue from the Chef. There is no other place that smokes the way he does. His ribs fall off the bone, the pulled pork and lexington sauce is so good you just can't stop at one sandwich, the chicken is juicy and tender, the beef brisket is moist and flavorable. His seasonings and sauces compliment the meats. Even the sides were good.
The chef has also smoked my venison for me over the last couple of years. He has smoked me up burgers and the best venison roasts anyone can make. I like it a lot better than the cured smoked I can get around here, it's much more tender and not dry like the curing tends to do. After I butcher the venison, he takes care of the cooking and wraps it up for me to freeze. Nothing like taking it out of the freezer to thaw, warm, and its like it just came off his Pit. My hunting buddies can't believe our luck in finding him to do this for us. We're hooked and will keep coming back for more!
Keep up the good work Chef! Can't wait to sink my teeth into some good Q again this season!

I was fortunate enough to attend the function at Nancy & Len D'Airo's house last Summer and it was all they wrote and more! I must have gained 3 pounds because I just couldn't stop eating! I have a weakness for ribs and pulled pork and both exceeded my expectations. It was very difficult waiting for dinner because the aromas were wonderful. Chris and Wayne were both very professional and very clean - a must for me. Everyone there had a good time and hopefully Chef Wayne will return this year.

We had Chef Wayne at a function at our home last summer. We had friends, family and neighbors in for a big feast. People from Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Michigan, Pa., and Ohio were here and the Chef's food was AWESOME!
His ribs were so tender they fell off the bone and the pulled pork was divine. I also had his chicken and it was the best BBQ Chicken I ever had.
He answered everyone's questions. He and his employee, Chris, were really friendly and polite.
Everyone that was here was so thrilled with the food, they want us to have him back this summer, and we are going to try and do that.
The neighbors and all said best BBQ they ever had, and this is coming from the toughest critics, foodies themselves who expect nothing but the best and the best is exactly what we got!

The summer of 2005 I held a family reunion at my home. Some family members from Florida. My brother Michael Willison has lived in the South for the most part of his adult life, his wife a native Floridian along with there daughter and her husband. The rage from all of them about how spectacular the ribs and chicken was amazing! My brother proceeded to write a letter to Chef Wayne with most complimentary words about the ribs and chicken
"I have lived in Florida and other southern areas of the Country, and always like my southern ribs and chicken, and they are good, But I have never ever had them as good as yours, I can't believe you are in Ohio" say's Mike Willison. Chris Willison, with her 'southern accent,' " Damn, boy now those are some dang good ribs, wow" My niece Tiffney and her husband Floridians, "Aunt Mary where did you find this guy, geeze these are way better than any we can get" her husband couldn't comment he had his mouth full. My Aunts and Uncle and My Mom (born and raised in Ohio} were just totally amazed. Being in there golden years, they loved the taste and especially how tender the meat was, so easy for them to eat. A few friends and neighbors also enjoyed and loved the chicken ribs as well. I am certainly glad that I had enough being I really didn't know how much to order, but this is one of many areas of Chef Wayne expertise, he knows! As far as his as his menu and foods well that speaks for itself obviously. Outside of his talent, I must remark on his impeccable code of ethics. Last and most importantly, the job will be done to perfection. I thank Chef Wayne and his employee Chris for making the family reunion a very memorable one.
